What we do
Put simply, our aim is to enhance each member’s experience of living in this lovely part of London.
Here’s an excerpt from VRARA’s Constitution:
‘The Association is established for the public benefit in the area, and for the following purposes:
(a) To stimulate public interest in the area;
(b) To promote high standards of planning and architecture in the area; and
(c) To secure the preservation, development and improvement of features of general public amenity or historic or public interest in the area.’

Member Benefits
Every year we partner with a selection of local restaurants, shops, and organisations to bring our members discounts of up to 20%.
Trusted tradespeople and services can be hard to come by. Members also receive a recommendation and contact list sourced from your fellow-neighbours - saving you time as well as stress.

Local Advocacy
We’re the ‘middle-men’ between our residents and committees including RBKC Council, our Ward Councillors, the Metropolitan Police, and transport authorities.
As part of Queens Gate Ward, it’s important that our voices and views are represented in our wider community.
-
Community Events
We organise events which bring residents together – our Annual General Meeting usually held in May, followed by a lively drinks party, is a wonderful opportunity for an annual update on local activity and a chance to meet fellow residents. The unveiling of the statue in Canning Place in 2023 and the Platinum Jubilee Street Party in 2022 are some of the other local celebrations we’ve organised.

Day-to-day life
We help you with the nitty gritty of neighbourhood living in your-day-to-day life.
We provide support and assistance on things that matter to our community: major developments and building works that can affect local amenities; planning applications, security, and policing; as well as traffic schemes and residents’ parking.
We continue to evolve as our neighbourhood and membership evolves. To all our current members – thank you for your support. If you’re not already a member - head to the ‘How to join’ tab to learn more.
